"Period poverty" is the financially-based lack of access to feminine sanitary products that impacts thousands of women and girls worldwide. Designer Dana Meyers and I recognized this pressing issue and conceptualized a non-profit — Mon Amie (meaning “my friend” in French) — that could combat it, starting in U.S. grade schools. Here is the company and branding we generated that utilizes simple iconography and a casual tone to address the issue, educate the public, and “de-stigmatize the flow.” Period.
